Towcestrians 47 - Old Grovians 34

In a closely contested game, the Old Boys were eventually undone by a well organised Towcestrians side made up of a mixture of players from their numerous squads. Considering the heat of the day, extremly hard ground and even worse hangovers, some excellent displays still came from a number of players.

In the golf match the following day, Old Grovians were pipped again by Towcestrians who finished with an average stableford score of 24.1 to the Old Boys 23.5. Well done to John Hinchliffe who managed to win the nearest the pin prize.
